Hello guys!

As mentioned by liz a few weeks back, we've booked a place for our year end chalet! It will be from 27-29 Dec so please block these days off k! Yup it'll be a great time of fun, fellowship and learning, so it will be awesome if you all can start thinking and praying for friends that you intend to invite(: Yes more details will be released in the coming months so stay exciteddd:D

And as I mentioned this morning, the Cambodia Mission Exposure Trip 2009 will be held from 2-7 Dec, so if you are baptised and wanna go for this trip, please let me/liz know asap alright! It will be a really good experience so yup think about it(:

How are you all doing UConnecters? (:

I wanted to share with you some cool things that I have learnt over the past few months in Melbourne.

Firstly, you guys are a really awesome bunch of people and I miss all of you. It was great seeing all of you in June/July again.

Secondly, coming to a new place, alone, I realise the importance of surrounding yourself with people who will support you emotionally and spiritually. Like they often say 'You are the company that you keep'. If you do not surround yourself with people who will be able to build you up and be your moral compass when you are lost, then it will be very hard for you to stand strong. This does not mean that you separate yourself from everyone who does not fit this description of a sorts, but make sure you have people who really love you and be your pillar.

I am attending this church called Citylife Church right now. And I am also attending this youth group called OXYGEN. http://www.citylifechurch.com/YoungAdults/18-25/ I gave the link there to show you guys. It's pretty interesting, the concept. Oxygen.

I miss all of you and hope you are all doing fine. Not wait, I hope all of you are doing great.

Hi Everyone.

I just thought I would share this with you because I really feel that God is good and well, I should just share it with all of you. (it's a really long winded story so please bear with me)

For the past 2 weeks or so, I have wanted to quit my current job in the event company I am working in. Though the people here are really nice, I wanted to spend more time with my family and friends. I was also getting tired of working so hard( I have had to stay in the office till 3-4am quite a few times) and just wanted to spend the next 2 months in Singapore relaxing. So you must be thinking, BIG DEAL, it's just quitting a job right? WRONG. I was very afraid to let my boss know I wanted to end my contract early as he can be quite a difficult person to talk to as he can easily twist what you said around and somehow you are staying in the office for the next 5 years(kidding). That is just to give an example of how clever he is.

So anyway, I was thinking of whether to lie to him, to try and give him what I thought was reason he would be more accepting of. However, my mum and dad told me not to do so, because that would be on my conscience and that it would be my integrity at stake. So while I was doing my quiet time and just prayed to God to show me what to do. And I realised that, if I want to live a life that glorifies God, I will have to make decisions that reflect His glory. And so then I realised that i would tell the truth and to just trust that He will help me through this.

So the yesterday I tried to tell my boss but he was always busy with something or I was always busy with something. In the end I sent him a message at night to let him know about me leaving early and he replied okay. Today when i came to work he talked to me and he was really nice and everything just turned out alright. i know it may seem like something small to you, but this is really something I want to praise God for. I chose to honour Him and he made it all alright. See you saturday.

hello beloved u-connecters.

oh man... i just watched the video (cos ive been reading letters in small doses so i dont flood my room) and the vid's the last thing im left with! Sia la, make me cry and cry so hard haha. (I think its cos u guys inside were actually animate, versus all the words on papaer)

ANYWAY, I just want to say thank you so much for being a part of my life all these yrs, from bubbletea days to the launching of U-connect; Im sad to go just as it has all begun, but I have faith that you guys will keep the flame going with your enthusiasm and love for God and one another. Keep focusing on Him and draw closer to Him, and everything else will naturally fall into place, be it studies or friendship problems or family problems. All things are possible with God. Keep attending U-connect (after the exam break, tt is) and have tons of fun at the chalet (which i so wish i were going to be able to go to) and dont grow lazy!

Why Go To Church?

A Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. "I've gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all."

This started a real controversy in the "Letters to the Editor" column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher:

"I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this... They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!" When you are DOWN to nothing... God is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible! Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment!

Hi everyone.
I'm sure you enjoyed the second U-Connect meeting. It was my first and hoenstly it was really great. I really felt God's presence during worship and i pray that He will continue to move among us in ways that will amaze us all.
